Rental licensing / registration

Yes. A City rental license must be issued before a dwelling unit is occupied as a rental. Getting one requires an application, the fee, and an initial inspection showing the unit complies with City codes. Licenses last two years, except short-term rental licenses, which last one. The City also inspects all residential rental properties at least every six years.
