Rental licensing / registration

Yes. Owners must get a rental registry certificate for each one- or two-family non-owner-occupied dwelling they rent. Certificates expire three years after issuance and must be renewed; renewal applications should be filed at least 45 days before expiration. Renting without a certificate is unlawful. Dwellings where a unit is occupied solely by the owner's relatives are exempt.
