New York Rent increase notice
How much notice does a landlord need to give to raise the rent in New York?
For a rent increase of 5% or more, or a non-renewal, the landlord must give written notice. The notice period depends on how long the tenant has lived there or the lease term: at least 30 days if under 1 year, 60 days for 1–2 years, and 90 days for 2 years or more.
