Connecticut Rent increase notice
How much notice does a landlord need to give to raise the rent in Connecticut?
A rent increase takes effect only if the landlord gives at least 45 days' written notice, or for leases of one month or less, notice equal to a full lease term. A tenant's silence is not agreement. This does not allow increases during a lease term. It applies to agreements entered, renewed or extended on or after Oct. 1, 2024.
