Pennsylvania Lease renewal / non-renewal notice
Does a landlord have to give notice before not renewing a lease in Pennsylvania?
A residential lease may not be ended or not renewed because the tenant or a family member takes part in a tenants' organization. A search of the full Act found no other statewide limit on not renewing a lease. At the end of the term, the landlord gives the Section 501 notice to quit: 15 days for leases of one year or less, 30 days for longer leases.
