West Virginia Lease renewal / non-renewal notice
Does a landlord have to give notice before not renewing a lease in West Virginia?
No notice is needed to end a lease whose term ends on a set date; it simply expires. Year-to-year tenancies need written notice at least three months before the end of the year, and shorter periodic tenancies need one full period's notice, unless the lease sets a different notice rule.
