Missouri Abandoned property
What can a landlord do with property a tenant leaves behind in Missouri?
Premises are deemed abandoned if the landlord reasonably believes the tenant left, rent has been unpaid for 30 days, and the landlord posted and mailed (first-class and certified) the statutory notice. If the tenant does not respond in writing within 10 days, the landlord may remove and dispose of the property without liability.
