Short-term rentals must be registered with the municipal clerk and the registration renewed every year (chapter effective May 1, 2026). The code states: "No person or business may own a short-term rental in the Municipality of Anchorage without registering the short-term rental with the municipal clerk." (§ 10.90.020).
