Utah Short-term rentals (Airbnb)
What are the Airbnb / short-term rental rules in Utah?
Utah municipalities may require a business license or permit to operate a short-term rental, but may not ban or punish merely listing one on a rental website. Statute text: "A municipality may adopt an ordinance requiring the owner or lessee of a short-term rental to obtain a business license or other permit from the municipality before operating a short-term rental within the municipality" (Utah Code § 10-8-85.4(4)).
