Eviction record sealing in Utah

Courts automatically expunge qualifying eviction records (for example, dismissed cases after three years) for evictions filed on or after July 1, 2022; parties may also stipulate to expungement. Statute text: "(2) The court shall issue an order of expungement when the court determines that an eviction qualifies for automatic expungement under Subsection (1) ." (Utah Code § 78B-6-852).
