Rhode Island Rental licensing / registration

Do landlords need a rental license or registration in Rhode Island?

All landlords must register with the Rhode Island Department of Health: landlord name, address, email and phone, any property manager or agent, and information identifying each unit. Landlords of pre-1978 units that aren't exempt from the lead hazard law must also file a lead certificate of conformance (or proof of exemption) for each unit.
