Oklahoma Holdover tenants
What happens if a tenant stays after the lease ends in Oklahoma?
If a tenant stays without consent after the lease ends, the landlord may sue for possession and damages at once. For a willful, bad-faith holdover, the landlord may also recover up to twice the average monthly rent, prorated daily. If the landlord consents, a month-to-month tenancy is created.
