Rental licensing / registration
Yes. Renting a dwelling unit requires a Village residential rental license for the location. No lease may be signed or renewed without one. The Village inspects common areas and at least one-third of the units in rental buildings with four or more units. Except for single-family rentals, a license is not issued or renewed until a valid inspection is done.
