Relocation assistance in Washington

If a government agency condemns a unit or orders it vacated because of code violations the landlord knew or should have known about, the landlord must pay each displaced tenant household the greater of $2,000 or three times the monthly rent, plus the deposit and prepaid rent, within seven days. Exceptions cover tenant-caused conditions, natural disasters and eminent domain.
