Vermont Condo conversion protections
Condo conversion protections in Vermont
Before converting, the landlord must give each tenant written notice to vacate or buy. In buildings with more than five units or in apartment complexes, the minimum is two years for elders and tenants with disabilities, one year for low-income households, and six months for everyone else. Smaller buildings have their own notice periods.
