Pennsylvania Interest on deposits
Does a landlord have to pay interest on a security deposit in Pennsylvania?
From the 25th month of occupancy, a deposit over $100 must be held in an interest-bearing account (unless the landlord is bonded). The tenant gets the interest, minus a 1% landlord fee, at the end of the third and each later year. The landlord must tell the tenant in writing the bank's name and address.
