North Carolina Rent increase notice
How much notice does a landlord need to give to raise the rent in North Carolina?
No increase during a fixed lease term. Once the tenancy is month-to-month after the lease ends, the landlord may raise rent by any amount by giving the same notice needed to end the tenancy (termination notice periods are in G.S. 42-14). North Carolina has no rent control law.
