Can a tenant fix something and deduct it from rent in New Hampshire?

New Hampshire's landlord-tenant law (RSA ch. 540, 540-A and 540-B, read in full on 2026-10-16) has no repair-and-deduct remedy; tenants can instead raise fitness violations as a defense to a nonpayment eviction (RSA 540:13-d).
