Nevada Retaliation protections
Is landlord retaliation illegal in Nevada?
Nevada landlords may not retaliate by ending or refusing to renew a tenancy, raising rent, cutting services or filing for possession because a tenant complained in good faith to a code agency, the landlord or police, joined a tenants union, or took part in a legal proceeding. Statute text: "the landlord may not, in retaliation, terminate a tenancy, refuse to renew a tenancy, increase rent or decrease essential items or services required by the rental agreement or this chapter, or bring or threaten to bring an action for possession" (NRS 118A.510(1)).
