Nebraska Repair and deduct
Can a tenant fix something and deduct it from rent in Nebraska?
If the landlord deliberately or negligently fails to supply heat, running water, hot water or essential services, the tenant may give written notice and buy reasonable amounts of them during the outage and deduct the actual, reasonable cost from rent (or get damages or substitute housing instead).
