Michigan Property manager licensing
Property manager licensing in Michigan
In Michigan, a person who rents real estate for others or engages in property management as a vocation is a "real estate broker," and the Occupational Code (MCL 339.601) bars practicing a regulated occupation without a license. Statute text: "that leases or offers or rents or offers for rent real estate or the improvements on the real estate for others, as a whole or partial vocation; that engages in property management as a whole or partial vocation" (MCL 339.2501(u); MCL 339.601(1)).
