An active servicemember (or spouse) who gets a change of assignment, such as PCS orders, TDY over 90 days, orders into base housing or release from active duty, owes no more than rent then due plus 30 days' rent after giving written notice and proof, plus repair costs for damage. Code text: "Any rent or lawful charges then due and payable plus 30 days’ rent after written notice and proof of the change of assignment is given to the landlord."
