Idaho Property manager licensing
Property manager licensing in Idaho
Idaho's Real Estate License Law defines a real estate broker by sale, listing, purchase, option and exchange activities for others. Renting, leasing and property management are not among the listed acts, so on the face of the definition (§ 54-2004, checked on 2026-10-17) Idaho does not require a real estate license just to manage rentals. Statute text: "sells, lists, buys, or negotiates, or offers to sell, list, buy or negotiate the purchase, sale, option or exchange of real estate or any interest therein or business opportunity or interest therein for others" (Idaho Code § 54-2004(39)).
