Florida Lease renewal / non-renewal notice
Does a landlord have to give notice before not renewing a lease in Florida?
When a written lease for a set term ends and the tenant stays without a new written lease, it becomes a tenancy at sufferance. Paying or accepting rent does not renew the lease. If the landlord consents in writing to the tenant staying, it becomes a tenancy at will.
