Florida Tenant buyout disclosures
Tenant buyout disclosures in Florida
The state landlord-tenant statute (Fla. Stat. ch. 83, part II (Florida Residential Landlord and Tenant Act), full text reviewed on 2026-10-17: section headings checked and the whole text searched for "buyout" and payments to vacate) has no provision on tenant buyout agreements or buyout disclosures. Local ordinances or other state or federal laws may still apply. The act mentions buyouts only to say that charges under a "settlement, release, buyout, or accord and satisfaction agreement" are not an early termination fee (§ 83.43(6)).
