California Lease renewal / non-renewal notice
Does a landlord have to give notice before not renewing a lease in California?
A residential lease clause that renews or extends the lease automatically is voidable by the party who didn't prepare the lease, unless the clause is in at least 8-point bold type in the lease body and a bold notice of it appears just above where the tenant signs.
