Rental licensing / registration
Yes. Owners of rental units in Toledo must register with the Lucas County residential rental property registration program (Ohio Rev. Code ch. 5323) within 30 days of taking title. There is no fee. Failing to register brings civil fines of up to $250, then up to $500 for a second violation, then $1,000 per unit.
