Short-term rentals (Airbnb)
Yes, with zoning standards. Type 2 short-term rentals are allowed where hotels/motels are permitted by right, and elsewhere in non-residential and mixed-use districts they count toward a citywide density cap. Occupancy is capped at two people per bedroom, and special events such as weddings and parties aren't allowed. Any permanent dwelling, including an accessory dwelling unit, may be used, but not RVs or trailers. Exceptions, other than going over the citywide density cap, need a Planning Commission conditional use permit. Every short-term rental must comply with City Code § 118.01 and get a business license before operating.
