Virginia Late fee grace period

Is there a grace period before a late fee can be charged in Virginia?

There is no general statutory grace period. A late charge is allowed only if the written lease provides for it, and it is capped at the lesser of 10% of periodic rent or 10% of the remaining balance. If the landlord did not offer a written lease, rent is late if not paid by the 5th of the month.
