Property manager licensing in Missouri

In Missouri, renting or leasing real estate for others for compensation is real estate broker activity, and RSMo § 339.020 makes it unlawful to act as a broker without a license from the Real Estate Commission. The statute exempts limited tasks such as delivering or receiving lease applications. Statute text: "(1) Sells, exchanges, purchases, rents, or leases real estate; (2) Offers to sell, exchange, purchase, rent or lease real estate" (RSMo §§ 339.010, 339.020).
