Rent receipts, payment methods & cash in Maryland

The landlord must give a receipt when the tenant pays in cash or asks for one, and owes the tenant $25 for failing to do so. Anne Arundel County has its own receipt rule. Code text: "the landlord or landlord’s agent shall give the tenant a receipt if the tenant: (1) Makes payment in cash; or (2) Requests a receipt."
