Condo conversion protections in Maryland
Before converting a rental building to condominiums, the owner must give each tenant a written notice. Tenants cannot be required to move out for 180 days after the notice, except for lease breach, nonpayment or their own move-out notice. Code text: "may not be required to vacate the premises prior to the expiration of 180 days from the giving of the notice."
