Kentucky Interest on deposits
Does a landlord have to pay interest on a security deposit in Kentucky?
No interest is required. Where the URLTA applies, deposits must be kept in a separate account used only for deposits at a regulated bank, and tenants must be told the account location and number. (URLTA provisions, KRS 383.505–.705, apply only where a city or county has adopted the Act; KRS 383.500.)
