Condo conversion protections in Iowa
A search of the full text of Iowa Code ch. 499B (Horizontal Property Act) found no notice, purchase or relocation rights for tenants when rental property is converted to condominiums. The only conversion rule is that a declaration converting an existing structure must be filed with the city (or county) at least 60 days before it is recorded, so building-code compliance can be checked (§ 499B.3). Local ordinances may still apply.
