Delaware Repairs and habitability remedies
What can a tenant do if the landlord won't make repairs in Delaware?
If the landlord doesn't start reasonable corrective measures within 10 days of notice, the tenant may have the work done professionally and deduct up to $400 or half a month's rent (whichever is less), with receipts. Separate remedies apply when heat, water, hot water or electricity aren't supplied (termination or substitute housing with rent abatement).
