Colorado Ending a month-to-month tenancy
How much notice is needed to end a month-to-month tenancy in Colorado?
For most residential tenancies, a landlord may not serve a notice to terminate or start an eviction without cause as listed in § 38-12-1303. This includes non-renewal of a month-to-month tenancy. A tenant (or an exempt landlord) ends a month-to-month tenancy with at least 21 days' written notice before the end of the period (§ 13-40-107(2)(c)).
