Alaska Subletting & assignment
Can a tenant sublet an apartment in Alaska?
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, a tenant can't sublet or assign without the landlord's consent. The landlord may refuse a proposed occupant within 14 days only in writing and only for listed reasons (e.g., credit, household size, pets, commercial use, refusal to take the same terms).
